Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
- Account details — your email address, your chosen username and display name, and a password (stored only as a secure one-way hash, never in plain text).
- Your gameplay — the contests you enter, the picks you make, and your resulting scores and rankings.
- Limited technical data — we store an approximate request IP for short windows to rate-limit sign-ups and logins and protect against abuse. We don't run third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the beta.
We don't collect payment information — the game is free.
2. How we use it
- To run the game — create your account, record picks, settle scores, and build leaderboards.
- To keep it fair and secure — detect abuse, enforce rate limits, and act on banned accounts.
- To contact you about your account or important service changes, if needed.
3. What's public
Fantasy is social. Your username/display name, scores, and rankings are visible to other players on contest leaderboards and on shareable result cards. When you choose to share a result card, that link and its image are public to anyone you send it to. Your picks stay private until the card locks. Your email and password are never shown to other players.
4. Cookies
We use a single essential cookie (mpp_session) to keep you logged in. It's an encrypted, HTTP-only session token — not an advertising or cross-site tracking cookie. Logging out clears it.
5. Sharing & third parties
We don't sell your personal data. We rely on third-party sources for live fight results (e.g. public sports-data feeds), and on infrastructure providers to host the Service. Those providers process data on our behalf to operate the game.
6. Your choices
You can stop using the Service at any time. You may request access to, or deletion of, your account and associated data by contacting us — when an account is removed or banned, access is revoked immediately. Some minimal records may be retained where needed for security or to meet legal obligations.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are signed and HTTP-only, and access is fail-closed by default. No system is perfectly secure, but we design to keep your data protected and minimise what we collect.
8. Children
The Service is for adults (18+). It is not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
9. International
The game is available globally and your data may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the Service you understand your data may be handled across borders to operate it.
10. Changes & contact
We'll update this policy as the product evolves; the "last updated" date reflects the current version. For privacy questions, reach the MMA Pros Pick team through our official channels — a dedicated contact address will be published before public launch.
